About the Job

We are looking for a logically strong, self-driven WordPress Fresher who has hands-on experience building websites or small projects (academic, freelance, or self-learned). The ideal candidate understands core WordPress concepts, communicates clearly, and can contribute to live client projects with guidance from senior developers.

Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites Work with themes, child themes, and basic template customization Install, configure, and manage plugins
Collaborate with designers and senior developers to implement features Ensure websites are responsive, secure, and optimized
Document changes, configurations, and workflows

Required Skills

Core WordPress Core WordPress File Structure Knowledge
Understanding of WordPress admin, themes, and plugins
Basic theme customization (HTML/PHP template edits)
Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, Divi, etc.)
Web Technologies Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript Basic PHP knowledge Understanding of REST APIs (basic) Ability to debug common WordPress issues
Database Basic understanding of MySQL (CRUD operations, simple queries)
Understanding of WordPress database structure (awareness level) Tools & Ecosystem Git basics Basic CI/CD awareness
Knowledge of hosting platforms (cPanel, FTP, WordPress hosting)
Understanding of website deployment & migration Soft Skills
Good communication skills

Nice to Have

Familiarity with WooCommerce setup/customisation
Knowledge of security best practices
Understanding of performance optimisation
Exposure to modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, Angular)
Experience with page speed tools (Lighthouse, GTmetrix)
