Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented WordPress and Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining websites on both WordPress and Shopify platforms.

This role involves working closely with designers, marketers, and other developers to deliver high-quality, responsive, and performance-optimized websites and online stores.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites using WordPress and Shopify.
Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins according to project requirements.
Develop custom Shopify themes and modify existing templates.
Integrate third-party APIs and apps with both platforms.
Manage and troubleshoot website functionality, performance, and errors.
Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility.
Implement payment gateways, shipping methods, and checkout customizations.
Collaborate with design and marketing teams to bring new features and site enhancements.
Maintain website backups, security updates, and uptime monitoring.
Ensure websites comply with web standards and accessibility guidelines.

Skills Required:Technical Skills:WordPress:

Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery
Experience with WordPress theme and plugin development
Familiarity with popular page builders
Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce functionalities
Knowledge of ACF, CPT

Shopify:

Experience with Shopify Liquid templating language
Custom theme development and app integration
Knowledge of Shopify APIs and SDKs
Understanding of Shopify admin, product, and checkout management

General Development Skills:

Version control using Git
Working knowledge of REST APIs
Responsive and mobile-first design practices
Basic understanding of SEO and web performance optimization
Familiarity with Google Analytics and other tracking tools

Soft Skills:

Attention to detail and quality assurance mindset
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Ability to work independently and take initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in WordPress and Shopify development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience working in an agency or fast-paced freelance environment
