Wiring Harness Engineer

Your role as a Wiring Harness Engineer will involve supporting the design and integration of LV and HV Wiring Harness into vehicles, planning prototype builds, validating designs, preparing vehicle level and component level architecture/schematics, and updating DFMEA. To succeed in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree, 2 to 4 years of experience, knowledge of Wiring Harness Design, cross-functioning with the Design Team for Wiring Integration, and good DFMEA skills. Teamwork will be essential to achieve functional, cost, weight, timing, and quality objectives. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables: - Assist in the design and validation of Wiring Harness for vehicle electrical and electronic architecture. - Provide technical expertise in Wiring Harness design, connectors, electrification, DMU, packaging, and related engineering requirements. - Understand the functioning of various control systems, ECUs, and electrical-electronic functions inside passenger cars. - Develop technical expertise in Vehicle Schematics development. - Finalize component selection. - Create test benches for subsystem level testing. - Execute tasks within timelines and achieve development milestones during vehicle development. - Take responsibility for technical documentation. - Stay aware of relevant legal requirements, system level functions, and testing. - Understand the product development process and project timelines. - Handle field issues, generate ideas, and solve problems. - Stay updated on future technological advancements in Wiring Harness development, such as Battery and High Voltage. - Tools: Unigraphics NX, Ldorado, E3-Cable, PREEVision, CAD-3D Desired Qualifications: - Any Graduate/B.E/B.Tech/MCA/MBA or any postgraduate degree. - 2 to 4 years of experience in a related field. - Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD Tools used for Wiring Harness Development. - Good knowledge of Vehicle Wiring Harness Requirements and DFMEA. - Familiarity with vehicle EE debugging, automotive electronic control systems, functional design aspects, application, and integration. - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives related to function, cost, weight, timing, and quality. - Knowledge of the functionality of every electronic component in the car and the reason for its existence. - Knowledge of Wiring Harness Design, Development, and Validation.
