• Strong understanding of Wiring harness layout and packaging requirements
• Understanding of Vehicle assembly parameters

• Good Knowledge of Plastics and sheet metal part manufacturing
• Completion of Development by meeting Quality, Cost and time targets
• Design of 3D data of Vehicle Wiring Harness including its child parts like connectors, clips, grommet etc & Making 2D Drawing of wiring harness

• Design of Vehicle Wiring Harness
• Development of Wiring Harness
• Problem solving and Implementation of Corrective measures
• Preparing Design Records and Testing Data
• Expertise in using Catia V5 and Vehicle Packaging
• System level understanding of ICE vehicles
• Understanding of Wire Type & Wire Size selection
• Fuse rating & wiring harness child part selection
• Understanding of Vehicle assembly parameters
• Understanding of EMI,EMC, Transients and impact of same w.r.t wiring harness
• Team Player, Innovative and learning capability as Soft Skills are required
• Basic Knowledge of Plastics and sheet metal part manufacturing
• Trouble shooting and analysis of system level defects
• Analyse data and generate reports and make design changes for problems observed
• Testing and validation support at System level and vehicle level testing

Required Skills:

• Packaging electrical components within the vehicle layout..
• Proficient in using

  Catia V5

  and its various modules
• Experienced in the packaging of 2W, 3W, and 4W automotive products
• Have a good understanding of how electrical layout can impact part failure.
• Experienced in both manual and automated wire routing
• Reviewing the vehicle layout to ensure appropriate placement of electrical components.
• Importing ECAD data into MCAD for wiring harness routing purposes.
• Developing concept designs for both plastic and metal parts required for packaging the electrical components.
• Utilizing CATIA V5 R21 and its relevant modules, including Part Design, Assembly Design, Electrical Parts Packaging, and Drafting, for these tasks.
• Generating necessary drawings for components, wiring, and overall architecture, and subsequently uploading them to the PLM system..
• Conducting tolerance stack-up analyses at the vehicle assembly level.
• Ensure CAD based layout on actual vehicle build/Proto
• Change detail observation and updating CAD Layout 11.
• Proto Vehicle management w.r.t. all EE Proto parts and updating on vehicle in case new parts.
• Basic electrical functionality checks using user manuals, electrical instrument etc.
• Develop the electrical layout according to the established guidelines.
• Create potential solutions for any conflicts that arise during the layout process.
• Draft any new guidelines that may be necessary based on the current project.*
• Perform manual wire routing according to the established guidelines.
• Execute auto routing using the provided ECAD data
• Create the assembly manual.
