As a CAD Modeller at E3 | Mobility.AI in Bengaluru, you will play a crucial role in the creation of 3D models, drafting designs, and collaborating with engineers and designers to develop cutting-edge EV mobility products enabled with AI. Your responsibilities will include EV system integration, vehicle layout, CAD modeling of vehicle systems/parts, bill of material creation, weight tracking, and usage of various analytical and statistical tools for design optimization. You will be involved in integral design, modular design, common parts usage, as well as the implementation of lightweight design concepts, alloys, and recyclable materials. Additionally, you will create 3D models and 2D drawings, conduct analytical calculations for basic parts design, stress and strain analysis, bearing life calculation, and power & torque calculation. Material selection, composition, and properties for the specific use case will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will be required to conduct DFMEA, IP analysis, design reviews, and action plans, support homologation requirements, functional safety, HARA analysis, and have knowledge of QFD, AQ, MBQ, and deployment of special characteristics. Your role will involve target deployment for safety, reliability, durability, maintainability, life, DFx (Cost, Mfg, Assy, Service), planning and driving QCD achievement, addressing past product problems and implementing countermeasures, and managing engineering change. You will be expected to create a happy work environment, be purpose-driven, and ensure a safe and hygienic work environment. Setting KPIs/KRAs and ensuring QCD achievement will be vital. Qualifications for this role include proficiency in CAD tools, FEA, CFD, simulation tools, manufacturing process understanding, functional safety, ISO26262, creativity, innovation, IP search and filing, passion for 2W riding, problem analysis, statistical tools (Six Sigma), CAD modeling, 3D modeling, design drafting, experience in collaborating with engineers and designers on product development, knowledge of electric vehicles (EV), attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. Role & responsibilities 1. Fully Responsible for Vehicle Integration, Maintaining the Vehicle Layout, Concept & Final Design of Various Machine aggregates for MEWP machines 2. Responsible for End to End delivery right from Concept to Drawing Release, Selection of components, Product Improvements, resolve field issues, adding features, and Material BOM Cost reduction through VA/VE initiatives. 3. Prepare Design Release timeplans, Part Release plans considering project timelines. Update & provide information to management through PFEP (plan for every part tracker) 4. Concept work and Design of various Welded Structures, Sheet Metal Parts, Sub-assembly, Structuring the assemblies into layout, ensuring proper coordination & communication within team & with Stakeholders working in cross functional environment 5. Design review and Concept presentations & approvals. 6. Must know the working and performance criterias, specifications of machine. Reviewing the Vehicle Layout in view of all aggregates & ensure the digital mock up is checked at design stage for performance, assembly, service aspects. Assure designs meet customer requirements, statutory requirements, and corporate objectives 7. Ensuring the Coordination between design aggregate teams of Vehicle integration, Structures, Hydraulics, Electricals and Engine Installation. Proposing the observations and ensuring the required modifications for project progress. Coordinate with global teams for design release 8. Prepare technical proposals, reports, and presentations & support teams on technical issues 9. Responsible for closure of machines concerns & resolve them through design release process 10. Design Detailing, BOM compilation and Engineering Drawing release through Engineering Change Management process. 11. Coordinate with Test and Development, Purchasing and Quality Assurance and Production departments for development at various stages of Projects as required till the implementation 12. Understand company & International Standard & follow the same within Team. 13. Maintaining Quality and standards during daily work. 14.
