WE’RE HIRING: HEAD MERCHANDISER

We are a growing designer fashion label known for intricate craftsmanship, strong silhouettes, and contemporary luxury. As we expand our collections and scale across domestic and international markets, we are looking for a Head Merchandiser to lead product planning, sampling, and execution from concept to delivery.

This role is ideal for someone who understands designer wear, couture timelines, and luxury merchandising and can work closely with the Founder and design team.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Head Merchandiser will be responsible for managing the entire merchandising lifecycle—ensuring collections are commercially strong, timelines are met, and products are delivered with the highest quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the Founder & Design Team on collection planning
• Create and manage merchandising plans, line sheets, and assortment mixes
• Oversee sampling, fittings, approvals, and production handovers
• Coordinate with karigars, workshops, vendors, and production teams
• Manage order execution, delivery timelines, and follow-ups
• Ensure quality control across samples and bulk production
• Maintain costing, pricing, and margin alignment
• Track bestsellers, client preferences, and sales feedback
• Prepare collections for exhibitions, trunk shows, buyers, and international markets
• Train and manage junior merchandisers / coordinators

WHO YOU ARE

• 7–12+ years of experience in luxury fashion / designer wear merchandising
• Strong understanding of Indian couture, embroidery, and handcraft techniques
• Excellent knowledge of sampling, fittings, and production cycles
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• Strong communication and vendor-management skills
• Commercial mindset with an eye for luxury aesthetics
• Able to work in a fast-paced, Founder-led environment
