Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Develop, review, and qualify

Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Tests (WQT)

in accordance with applicable codes (ASME, AWS,).Provide technical guidance on

welding processes (GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW, etc.)

, consumable selection, and parameters.Interpret and implement

client specifications, drawings, and international standards

during fabrication.Support production by troubleshooting welding-related issues and optimizing welding processes for efficiency and quality.Monitor

welder performance

and ensure compliance with approved procedures.Coordinate with

Quality Control (QC)

and Third-Party Inspectors (TPI) for inspection and testing requirements.Review

NDT results (RT, UT, PT, MT)

and ensure proper corrective actions for non-conformities.Implement

welding safety standards

and train welders/technicians on best practices.Participate in audits, prepare documentation, and maintain traceability records.Contribute to

continuous improvement projects

in productivity, cost reduction, and defect minimization

Required Qualifications

B.E. /Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Welding, or related engineering discipline.3–5 years of experience in Quality control or welding engineering, preferably in fabrication, oil & gas, heavy engineering, or structural steel industry.knowledge of welding codes and standards (ASME, AWS D1.1,).

Hands-on Experience In WPS/PQR Preparation And Welder Qualifications.

Proficiency in reading

engineering drawings, isometrics, and welding symbols

.Basic knowledge of

NDT techniques

and inspection practices.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
