Welding Engineer

As a Welding Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dairy automation projects by developing and optimizing welding processes for stainless steel fabrication used in dairy processing equipment. Your expertise in sanitary welding, stainless steel fabrication, and process piping will contribute to the production of high-quality dairy processing systems. Key Responsibilities: - Develop, implement, and optimize welding procedures for stainless steel fabrication in dairy processing equipment. - Ensure compliance with food-grade industry standards such as 3A Dairy Standards, ASME BPE, and AWS D18.1 for sanitary welding. - Select appropriate welding techniques and materials for dairy industry applications. - Conduct welding inspections, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure quality control. - Collaborate with design, production, and automation teams to enhance welding processes. - Train and guide welders in sanitary welding best practices. - Monitor welding performance, address defects, and maintain detailed records. - Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, and other food safety regulations for welded components. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field. - 4-5 years of experience in welding engineering, preferably in dairy, food, or pharmaceutical industry. - Strong expertise in welding stainless steel and sanitary piping systems. - Knowledge of TIG welding, orbital welding, and NDT methods. - Familiarity with sanitary design principles and food safety requirements. - Ability to interpret welding codes and standards. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. - Experience with welding automation and robotic welding is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: - CWE or CWI certification. - Experience in dairy plant equipment fabrication. - Knowledge of corrosion resistance, heat treatment, and material selection for dairy applications.
