Micro Center India is one of the leading gaming and electronics retailers in Kolkata, offering a wide range of PC components, gaming gadgets, mobile phones, and accessories. With a growing e-commerce platform featuring over 3,000 products, we are looking for a dedicated in-house developer to manage, maintain, and enhance our online store.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the e-commerce website built on WordPress (WooCommerce) with custom-coded functionalities.
• Optimize website performance, speed, and security to handle large inventory and customer traffic.
• Develop, customize, and integrate new features, plugins, and modules as per business requirements.
• Ensure seamless product updates, category management, and overall backend efficiency.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues promptly.
• Implement SEO best practices in website structure and coding.
• Collaborate with the marketing and operations team to improve user experience (UX/UI).
• Regularly back up and update website systems.

Key Requirements

• 2–3 years of proven experience in WordPress development and custom PHP/JS coding.
• Strong knowledge of WooCommerce and e-commerce functionalities.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL.
• Hands-on experience in customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
• Good understanding of website performance optimization (caching, CDN, minification, etc.).
• Familiarity with payment gateways, APIs, third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of SEO-friendly coding and Google Analytics integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with large inventory websites (3,000+ products).
• Knowledge of server management, hosting, and website security.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
• UI/UX knowledge for better user experience improvements.

Note: This is an on-site position based in Chandni Chowk, Kolkata, with working hours from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday To Saturday.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
