Web Developer

Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract position Duration: 3 months, extendable to an additional 3 months based on performance and project requirements. Position Overview Our client is a leading e-commerce company in the US seeking a skilled Web Developer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in front-end and back-end development, ensuring seamless functionality, user experience and security. Essential Functions, Duties & Accountabilities 1. Create applications that address the phases of the SDLC (software development life cycle) 2. Develop comprehensive application testing procedures 3. Update existing applications to meet the security and functionality standards as outlined in the company s website policies 4. Implement testing tools that monitor the ongoing performance of the company website 5. Assist in updating application development policies to ensure that all future applications meet the latest technical requirements. Educational Requirements 1. Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field. Experience and Skills 1. 2 or more years of experience in application development and testing required. 2. 1+ years of SDLC implementation experience. 3. Experience with content management platforms. 4. Ability to create support documentation for all new applications. 5. Proven knowledge of the most current security and web development programming languages. 6. Must know Microsoft core products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Ability to read, analyse and effectively communicate information both in verbal and written forms. 2. Proven ability to provide leadership in problem solving by studying issues, determining causes, and initiating corrective actions as needed. 3. Understanding of how transactions flow through ERP systems and what drives the differences in transaction flows.
