WCR In-Business Quality Assurance Global Corporates VP

As an Institutional Credit Managements (ICM) professional, your role involves providing an integrated end-to-end credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, monitoring, and reporting for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise. The Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) In-Business Quality Assurance (QA) is a crucial part of the ICM organization. In this role, you will verify that established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied. Your findings from quality assurance reviews (QARs) will be utilized by WCR and ICM Management to assess the quality of policies, procedures, programs, and practices related to the management of wholesale credit risk. These results will help in identifying risks associated with operational and control weaknesses, training needs, and process deficiencies. Your main responsibilities will include: - Supporting the Leveraged Finance Underwriting Lead of In-Business QA in implementing and delivering a robust Quality Assurance function. - Providing effective credible challenge during QARs to ensure weaknesses in credit reviews and process adherence are identified and escalated. - Assisting in ensuring wholesale credit risks within Citi are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled. - Collaborating with Underwriting and 1LOD functions to ensure quality assurance protocols are adequate for all portfolios. - Contributing to the establishment of WCR In-Business QA policies, procedures, risk assessment, and controls to drive effective QA coverage and standards. - Staying updated on relevant changes to rules/regulations and industry news. Skills/Competencies required for this role: Quality Assurance: - Strong assurance experience in corporate banking, credit risk management, internal audit, or quality assurance functions. - Knowledge of Wholesale Credit Processes, policies, and procedures. - Understanding of Leveraged Finance structures and regulatory frameworks. - Strong background in core credit analysis for large corporate and finance industries. Leadership: - Strategic orientation to drive best practices within ICM and Citi. - Ability to identify stretch opportunities for individual and team performance. - Proven culture carrier. Competencies: - Effective interpersonal skills to build relationships and exert influence. - Solid organizational skills to manage priorities effectively. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. Technical: - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Qualifications required: - BA/BSc or higher degree in Business (MBA) or related subject.
