Warehouse Supervisor

The ideal candidate must have experience in the manufacturing/Power industry and possess a strong understanding of Stores & Logistics Management concepts. You should be able to develop new approaches and systems for inventory management to optimize warehouse capacity, inventory, and floor utilization. Your responsibilities will include supervising daily warehouse operations, such as receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials, components, and finished goods. It will be your duty to ensure that various warehousing operations like packing, storage, replenishment, picking, loading, and dispatching are carried out safely, timely, and efficiently. You will need to collaborate with production, procurement, and quality teams to guarantee timely material availability and maintain accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems. Moreover, you must enforce compliance with safety standards, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles. In addition, you will lead and train warehouse staff, assign tasks, evaluate performance, oversee loading/unloading activities, and maintain documentation for inward/outward materials, GRNs, and delivery challans. Your role will involve liaising with transporters and logistics partners for smooth material movement and managing material storage and handling practices. You should have proficiency in handling both manual and ERP-based processes for shelf-life materials, ensuring compliance with original equipment manufacturer specific material group guidelines. Furthermore, you will be responsible for space utilization, material storage/handling, and logical and physical location mapping. It will be your duty to oversee day-to-day store operations, maintain high service standards, and create a positive work environment to motivate staff to achieve individual and team goals. You will conduct 100% physical inventory verification and ensure the arrangement of materials in defined locations post-quality clearance as per FIFO. Knowledge of storage and disposal of different types of waste in accordance with HSE guidelines is also essential.
