The ideal candidate should have experience in the manufacturing/Power industry and possess a good understanding of Stores & Logistics Management concepts. You must be capable of identifying and defining new approaches and systems for inventory management. Your responsibilities will include optimizing warehouse capacity, inventory, and floor utilization, as well as supervising and assisting in daily warehouse and shipping operations. You will be expected to supervise daily warehouse operations, which involve receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials, components, and finished goods. Ensuring various warehousing operations, such as packing, storage, replenishment, picking, loading, and dispatching, are executed safely, timely, and efficiently is crucial. Coordination with production, procurement, and quality teams is essential to ensure timely material availability. Maintaining accurate inventory records using ERP/WMS systems, conducting periodic stock audits, and enforcing proper storage practices to prevent damage, contamination, or loss of materials will also be part of your duties. Furthermore, you will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with safety standards, 5S, and lean manufacturing principles. Leading and training warehouse staff, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, overseeing loading/unloading activities, and ensuring the timely dispatch of finished goods are vital aspects of the role. Maintaining documentation for inward/outward materials, GRNs, and delivery challans, as well as liaising with transporters and logistics partners for smooth material movement, are additional responsibilities. You should be adept at managing material storage and handling, including knowledge of shelf life and preservation practices to maintain longevity and ensure optimal performance. Proficiency in handling both manual and ERP-based processes for shelf-life materials, ensuring compliance with original equipment manufacturer specific material group guidelines, and demonstrating a strong understanding of space utilization, material storage/handling, and logical and physical location mapping are key requirements. You will also oversee day-to-day store operations, ensure smooth processes, maintain high standards of service, foster a positive work environment, and motivate staff to achieve individual and team goals. Conducting 100% physical inventory verification, arranging materials in defined locations post quality clearance as per FIFO, and ensuring compliance with storage and disposal guidelines as per HSE regulations are essential components of this role. Lastly, you will be expected to ensure adherence to group policies and local safety/environmental regulations.
