Warehouse Inbound / Outbound In-charge

As a Warehouse - Inbound Operations Supervisor at APM Terminals in Narsapura, Karnataka, your role will involve overseeing and optimizing inbound logistics and receiving operations. You will be responsible for managing the receiving, inspection, and put-away of inventory to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise the receiving, unloading, and inspection of incoming shipments. - Verify shipment accuracy by reconciling received goods with purchase orders (POs) and invoices. - Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and transportation providers to manage delivery schedules and minimize delays. - Ensure proper labelling, documentation, and quality checks of inbound materials before storage. - Oversee stock put-away processes, ensuring materials are stored in designated locations efficiently. - Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and regular audits. - Implement FIFO and LIFO methods for proper stock rotation. - Lead, train, and supervise a team of warehouse associates and receiving clerks. - Assign daily tasks and ensure KPIs such as receiving accuracy, put-away time, and dock-to-stock cycle time are met. - Analyse inbound logistics data to identify efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities. - Ensure all incoming shipments comply with regulatory and company policies. - Maintain accurate receiving and inventory records for audit and reporting purposes. - Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. - Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed to meet operational demands. Required Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory). - 3 to 7 years of experience in inbound logistics, warehouse operations, or inventory management. - Strong knowledge of WMS and ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or similar software. - Familiarity with barcode scanning, RFID technology, and automated inventory tracking. - Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment.
