Job Description

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Warehouse and Sales Manager to oversee warehouse operations and sales activities in our South India region. The ideal candidate will manage stock, ensure smooth warehouse functioning, interact with customers, expand the client base, and provide valuable insights on market trends and product performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management:

  • • Supervise loading and unloading of materials, ensuring correct handling and record keeping.

  • • Oversee stock management, including daily stock-taking and reconciliation with system records.

  • • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout.

  • • Ensure timely dispatch and delivery, with proper documentation (delivery challan, invoice, etc.).

  • • Verify that all invoices and stock entries are up to date.

Sales & Customer Relations:

  • • Show available stocks to customers visiting the warehouse.

  • • Conduct field visits to existing and potential customers to promote products and make sales pitch.

  • • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to increase repeat business.

  • • Identify and onboard new customers to expand the market reach.

  • • Ensure timely follow-ups , orders, payments, and customer queries.

Market Research & Product Development:

  • • Monitor market trends and competitor activity.

  • • Suggest new product introductions based on demand and market needs.

  • • Recommend slow-moving or obsolete products for discontinuation.

Reporting & Coordination:

  • • Coordinate with Head Office for stock replenishment, dispatch planning, and customer requirements.

  • • Provide daily reports on stock, sales, customer visits, and market feedback.

  • • Ensure all warehouse and sales activities comply with company policies and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • • Minimum 35 years of experience in warehouse operations and sales (preferably in building materials / timber / construction / hardware / allied industry).

  • • Strong communication ( local language and Hindi/english is a must) and negotiation skills.

  • • Good knowledge of inventory management and basic accounting/invoicing.

  • • Proficiency in MS Excel and email/whstapp.

  • • Must be willing to travel locally to meet customers.

  • • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
