Job Description

Job Title: Shift Engineer

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain electromechanical and utility services with a technician team
Implement and oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM)
Conduct regular site inspections to identify risks and defects
Supervise and guide subordinate staff
Track and manage assets under defect liability period and AMC/CAMC
Participate in hiring, training, and development of engineering staff
Monitor SLAs, KPIs, and budget controls for effective service delivery
Manage vendor relationships, quotations, and invoices
Ensure timely submission of cost sheets and invoices
Implement energy conservation measures
Maintain equipment history cards and required documentation
Handle major complaints and escalate issues when necessary
Enforce safe working practices and proper use of work permits
Assist in risk assessments and root cause analyses of system failures
Participate in evacuation drills and emergency response teams
Prepare and maintain engineering reports (DMR, MMR)
Collaborate with regional, HQ, and SME teams for report closures
Uphold the "No Safety No Work" principle

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) • 5+ years of experience in facility management or related role
• Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance practices
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Proficiency in maintenance management systems and MS Office
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
