About the Role

Facility and Maintenance Head

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Operations

  • Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure smooth functioning of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for breakdowns and implement corrective action plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and quality standards.
  • Oversee maintenance of kitchen equipment (cold rooms, ovens, fryers, coffee machines, blast chillers, bun toasters, etc.), HVAC systems, fire pump rooms, and utilities.

Project Management & Reporting

  • Assist in execution of new projects including setup of outlets and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Prepare and manage BOM, BOQ, RFQs, and vendor coordination using SAP/ONEX tools.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of utilities, breakdown analysis, and cost tracking (Daily/Weekly/Monthly).
  • Support audits by external and internal teams and drive compliance.

Cost & Energy Efficiency

  • Optimize utility usage (electricity, gas, water) and implement energy-saving initiatives.
  • Drive kaizen and continuous improvement projects for resource efficiency (e.g., VFD installations, RO plant optimization, LED upgrades).
  • Negotiate AMC contracts, manage spare part policies, and reduce OPEX/CAPEX through innovative cost-saving solutions.

People Leadership

  • Manage and motivate a large team of maintenance staff (up to 70+ members).
  • Train operators and team members on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment handling.
  • Foster a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous learning.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma/B.Tech in Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in maintenance management within QSR/F&B/retail industries.
  • Strong expertise in SAP, ONEX, vendor management, and procurement processes.
  • Proven track record in preventive maintenance, audits, energy conservation, and infrastructure upkeep.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage costs, negotiate contracts, and deliver efficiency improvements.
