- Greeting and Seating Guests:Welcoming customers, offering menus, and seating them at tables.
- Taking Orders:Accurately recording food and drink orders, often using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serving Food and Beverages:Delivering orders to the correct tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Handling Payments:Processing payments, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments, and providing accurate bills.
- Providing Excellent Customer Service:Addressing customer needs and concerns, offering recommendations, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Maintaining Cleanliness:Clearing tables, wiping down surfaces, and ensuring the dining area is clean and organized.
- Collaborating with Staff:Working with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation, and coordinating with other servers for smooth service.
- Upselling:Suggesting appetizers, desserts, or drinks to increase sales.
- Memorizing the Menu:Being knowledgeable about the menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
