VP Technical Lead Engineer /Architect AFC

Role Overview: As the VP Technical Lead Engineer/Architect at AFC in Pune, India, you will work closely with engineers to develop the best technical design and approach. You will provide engineering execution excellence, technical vision, and direction to ensure the engineering team aligns with the bank's strategy. Your innovative prototypes will keep the bank at the forefront of technology innovation. Your responsibilities will include shaping the architecture roadmap within the AFC organization, providing end-to-end ownership of technology solutions, and conducting architectural reviews to manage risks effectively. You will be part of a cross-functional agile delivery team, contributing to all stages of software delivery with a focus on business value and creating a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop architecture documentation, including system and data flows. - Implement security best practices like encryption, tokenization, and fraud detection to protect sensitive financial data. - Design solutions for high transaction volumes, low latency, and minimal downtime using distributed systems, microservices, and caching mechanisms. - Identify automation and innovation opportunities within the AFC ecosystem. - Implement fault-tolerant designs for high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity. - Collaborate with stakeholders and oversee implementation with software development and engineering teams. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science Engineering or related fields. - 15+ years of hands-on development experience with technical architecture responsibilities for Java/J2EE/TypeScript/Python based Enterprise Applications. - Experience in design/development of highly scalable, available, large-scale banking applications. - Proficiency in PL/SQL, Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot Microservices, Oracle. - Knowledge of Open-source technologies, frameworks, platforms, and tools. - Domain/Functional knowledge in Banking and Financial Services. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. - Experience with release workflow orchestration and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, uDeploy, Docker, Kubernetes, etc. Additional Company Details: The company fosters a culture of empowerment, commercial thinking, initiative, and collaboration.
