Position Title: Volleyball Coach

Job Purpose

The Volleyball Coach is responsible for training, mentoring, and developing students’ volleyball skills while promoting physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. The coach will prepare students for inter-school, district, state, and CBSE-level competitions through structured coaching programs and regular practice sessions.

Key ResponsibilitiesCoaching & Training

• Plan and conduct regular volleyball coaching sessions for students (Primary / Middle / Senior levels as assigned)
• Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball skills including serving, passing, setting, spiking, blocking, and game strategies
• Develop age-appropriate training programs focusing on skill development, fitness, and coordination
• Ensure warm-up, conditioning, and cool-down routines to prevent injuries

Player Development

• Identify and nurture talented players for competitive teams
• Encourage teamwork, leadership, discipline, and fair play
• Monitor individual student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Promote physical fitness, endurance, agility, and mental strength

Competition & Events

• Prepare school teams for inter-house, inter-school, district, state, and CBSE tournaments
• Accompany and supervise teams during matches, tournaments, and sports events
• Assist in organizing school sports days, tournaments, and volleyball-related activities

Safety & Discipline

• Ensure safety norms are followed during practice and matches
• Maintain discipline on and off the court
• Educate students on injury prevention, hygiene, and sports ethics
• Coordinate with school authorities in case of injuries or health concerns

Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities

• Maintain attendance, performance records, and training schedules
• Take care of volleyball equipment and sports inventory
• Coordinate with parents regarding student performance and participation
• Participate in school assemblies, events, staff meetings, and trainings
• Support the overall sports culture and discipline of the institution

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline (Physical Education or Sports background preferred)
• Diploma / Degree / Certification in Physical Education, Sports Coaching, or Volleyball Coaching
• National or State-level volleyball certification preferred

Experience

• Prior experience as a volleyball coach or sports instructor preferred
• Experience coaching school-level or competitive teams is an advantage
• Freshers with strong volleyball skills, certification, and passion for coaching may be considered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
