About the Channel: We are a creative and emotionally driven YouTube channel dedicated to presenting powerful poetry through visual storytelling. Our mission is to touch hearts and bring poetic expressions to life with cinematic quality. Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Video Editor & Cinematographer/Videographer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for visual aesthetics, a deep understanding of emotion-driven content, and the technical expertise to shoot and edit poetic narratives that resonate with audiences. Key Responsibilities: Cinematography/Videography: · Collaborate with the team to conceptualize and storyboard visual interpretations of poetry. · Shoot high-quality video content in various locations, indoors and outdoors, depending on the poem’s theme. · Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment professionally. · Direct small-scale shoots with minimal crew, ensuring performance and setting match the tone of the poetry. Video Editing: · Edit raw footage into polished, cinematic poetry videos. · Add background music, voiceovers, sound effects, and visual effects to enhance emotional impact. · Ensure smooth pacing, clean transitions, and compelling storytelling. · Color grade and correct videos to suit the mood of each piece. · Maintain consistency in style and brand identity across all videos. Requirements : · Proven experience in video editing and cinematography/videography. · Proficiency in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). · Strong knowledge of camera equipment, lighting setups, and sound recording. · A portfolio showcasing previous work (preferably with poetic, narrative, or short film content). · Ability to understand and interpret poetic themes visually. · Creative mindset with attention to detail and strong storytelling instincts. · Reliable, organized, and able to meet deadlines. Preferred : · Interest in poetry, literature, or spoken word art. Experience with motion graphics and animation (After Effects is a plus).
