Vice President, Product Lead, Gold Loan, Consumer Banking

Job Purpose:

• Lead the growth and profitability of the bank's significant gold loan portfolio. Develop and execute strategies to enhance customer experience and drive product innovation. Requires deep gold loan industry knowledge, strong analytical and leadership skills.
• Manage the P&L for this significant asset portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Development:

• Develop a comprehensive gold loan product strategy focusing on market positioning, target segments, and competitive differentiation.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities.
• Define product requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
• Prioritize features based on customer feedback and business objectives.

Product P&L & Lifecycle Management:

• Manage the product roadmap focusing on release schedule, feature prioritization, and product milestones.
• Monitor and analyze product performance metrics (revenue, profitability, customer acquisition/retention).
• Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product improvements.
• Develop go-to-market strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns.
• Manage product launches by co-ordinating with cross functional teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:

• Collaborate with engineering, UX/UI, and other teams ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of product features and enhancements
• Lead a team of product managers and setting objectives and evaluating performance.
• Build relationships with stakeholders (senior management, distribution teams, customer support).
• Serve as a gold loan product subject matter expert.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Assess and manage product-related risks (credit, market, operational).
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments and make recommendations to implement.

Required Experience:

• 10+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager/Senior Product Manager in the gold loan industry.
• Strong understanding of the gold loan market, customer segments, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
