Vice President Product Engineering

As the Vice President of Product Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end engineering strategy, execution, and delivery of the company's product portfolio. Your role will involve overseeing engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and operations to ensure the development of high-quality, scalable, and secure products. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the full engineering lifecycle, including concept development, design, testing, deployment, and support. - Collaborate with Product Management to translate product vision into actionable engineering plans. - Drive architecture decisions, conduct technical design reviews, and establish engineering standards. - Ensure products meet criteria for performance, scalability, reliability, usability, and security. - Hire, develop, and mentor a world-class engineering team. - Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, continuous learning, and engineering excellence. - Establish best practices for performance reviews, succession planning, and skill development. - Encourage collaboration between product, design, engineering, QA, DevOps, and security teams. - Implement industry-standard methodologies such as Agile, CI/CD, DevSecOps, TDD, and automated QA. - Oversee sprint planning, release management, velocity reporting, and delivery metrics. - Optimize engineering processes for predictability, quality, and faster time-to-market. - Evaluate and modernize technology stacks, tools, and cloud infrastructure. - Make informed build-vs-buy decisions based on long-term ROI. - Ensure adherence to system architecture guidelines, API standards, and data governance practices. - Drive innovation initiatives in AI/ML, automation, integrations, and cloud modernization. - Collaborate with security teams to integrate DevSecOps and ensure compliance with security frameworks. - Oversee incident response, SLAs, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices. - Establish secure-by-design engineering frameworks. - Represent engineering to the C-suite, board, and cross-functional leaders. - Present engineering roadmap, progress, risks, staffing needs, and budget recommendations. - Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Support for customer-centric releases and ongoing reliability. **Required Qualifications:** - 12+ years of software engineering experience - 6+ years leading engineering/product engineering teams - Strong technical background in cloud, API, DevOps, and distributed systems - Proven success delivering enterprise-grade software at scale - Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional alignment skills **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, life sciences, fintech, SaaS) - Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks - Experience modernizing architecture and scaling engineering teams If you have any additional details about the company, please provide them for inclusion in the Job Description.,
