The Vice President of Operations (Factory)

Role & responsibilities

1. Leadership and Management:

- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the factory operations team.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.

- Develop and mentor a high-performing operations team.

2. Operational Strategy:

- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.

- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.

- Ensure that operational goals are achieved in line with company standards and targets.

3. Production Planning and Execution:

- Oversee production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand.

- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and delivery schedules.

- Implement measures to enhance production efficiency and minimize waste.

4. Supply Chain Management:

- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure timely availability of materials.

- Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks and disruptions.

- Establish strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.

5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

- Implement robust quality assurance processes to maintain product quality and reliability.

- Lead initiatives to continuously improve quality control and assurance systems.

6. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE):

- Champion a culture of safety and environmental sustainability within the factory.

- Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace incidents.

- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and promote best practices.

7. Cost Management:

- Develop and manage operational budgets to achieve cost efficiency and profitability.

- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.

- Monitor expenses and implement measures to control costs and improve margins.

8. Continuous Improvement:

- Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in processes, systems, and performance metrics.

- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other methodologies to drive operational excellence.

- Encourage innovation and creativity to enhance productivity and competitiveness.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications:

- Proven 15+ Years experience in a senior operations leadership role within a manufacturing environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree preferred)

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality management systems.
