Job Description

Creating the ETL test Strategy for existing projects at NAB
Experience in testing data validation scenarios and Data ingestion, pipelines, and transformation processes (e.g.,ETL).
Advanced SQL scripting capabilities
Exposure to Databricks Testing Strategy for DLT or equivalent
Understanding of software testing concepts and DWH applications
Design and create test strategies that leverage reusable and scalable ETL testing scripts and/or templates.
Code and execute complex SQL queries that validate the accuracy of big data content from source to target tables
Experience of Agile Software Development & Testing methods for deployment in cloud environments.
An understanding of big data engineering tools and how they can be used strategically (e.g. Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Dask, Databricks)
Providing leadership for evolving and maintaining the test frameworks that are currently in place for the ETL Testing.
Managing and mentoring a team of Quality Engineers that are working in the different squads to deliver quality across applications.
Leading the delivery and implementation of consistent testing methodologies, disciplines and processes using associated best practices across assigned lines of business.
Quality assurance of development output with contribution to peer review, establishing and measuring against key metrics such as unit and component test coverage, functional delivery and evaluation of defect density over time.
Managing risks and issues related to the provision of the testing service and release.
Responsibility for people management of all individuals assigned to the testing team including performance appraisals and personal development planning.
