Vice President Mortgage Underwriting

To be successful as a Vice President Mortgage Underwriting, you should have experience with. UK Mortgages at a leadership role for a minimum of 3 years. Strong application of general accounting, Principles, cash flow and balance sheet and analysis and interpretation, Stakeholder management (Fraud, Risk teams and Intermediaries).

• Strong knowledge across a wide range of Mortgage products and instruments. Strong awareness of how UK mortgages functions and flow. Must be decisive and a clear communicator both written and oral. Ability to handle a significant volume of data and pull out the important aspects, summarize and draw conclusions.
• Strong awareness of automation tools and how each can be leveraged. Good Awareness around performance management.
• Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include. Six sigma or lean certified.
• Any certification around data analytics.

• Purpose of the role. To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.
• Accountabilities. Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
• Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
• Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
• Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
• Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
• Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Vice President Expectations. Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.
• Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
• Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
