Vice President Engineering

Role & responsibilities

Lead and scale a large engineering organization (100+ engineers) across multiple technology domains.

Manage senior leaders such as Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Principal Engineers, and functional Heads (QA, Infrastructure, etc.).

Drive organizational design, team structuring, and leadership layer development to enable scalable growth.

Own engineering hiring, leveling, and promotion frameworks end-to-end.

Maintain strong technical depth and guide architectural and system design decisions.

Lead modernization initiatives (CI/CD, observability, infrastructure reliability, performance optimization).

Partner with Product and Design teams on capacity planning, roadmap prioritization, and delivery predictability.

Promote shared ownership and cross-functional collaboration for achieving business outcomes.

Conduct postmortems and root-cause reviews to ensure quality and reliability.

Coach, mentor, and evaluate senior engineering leaders, driving performance and leadership growth.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including at least 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.
• Domain Expertise: Strong background in the Fintech domain, with exposure to large-scale transactional systems.
• Proven experience in scaling engineering organizations from start up to growth stages (80+ to 150+ engineers).
• Prior experience managing senior engineering leaders Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, Principal Engineers, and functional Heads (QA, Infrastructure, etc.).
