Vice President - BESS Business

Role Overview: You are being sought out for a senior role (Vice President) in the BESS Business at Neo Metaliks. Your primary responsibility will be to build and lead the BESS C&I business, with a focus on MWscale Lithium-Ion Battery energy storage for commercial and industrial applications. Your reporting line will directly be to the promoter. The role is based in Kolkata with pan-India travel requirements. Key Responsibilities: - P&L leadership: You will be tasked with setting revenue and margin targets, building the order book, managing budgets, enforcing pricing discipline, and conducting deal reviews. - Market & GTM: Your responsibilities will include segmenting C&I customers, defining use cases, and setting region-wise quotas. - Strategic partnerships: You will be required to source and negotiate with OEMs for cells/batteries, PCS/inverters, and EMS/BMS. You will also need to establish partnerships with vendors, ancillary development for balance of systems, EPC and financing partners, and explore JV/assembly alliances. - Solution leadership: You will guide sizing/LCOS modeling, TCO/ROI calculations, and commercial structures. - Policy & incentives: It will be your responsibility to track regulations and incentives related to energy storage and ensure that proposals leverage applicable benefits. - Team building: You will have to hire and mentor BD managers and applications engineers, institute CRM and governance cadence, and foster a performance-driven culture. - Stakeholder management: You will be the executive sponsor for key accounts, represent the business at Board reviews, and participate in industry forums. Qualification Required: - Proven experience of 10+ years in power/renewables/large battery storage systems, specifically with Lithium-Ion batteries. - Minimum 5 years of experience leading revenue centers and closing multicrore infra/energy deals.
