Vice President - BESS Business

Role Overview: Neo Metaliks is looking for a Vice President for their BESS Business in Kolkata with pan-India travel. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in Lithium-Ion Battery energy storage focusing on MW-scale C&I. Reporting directly to the Promoter, the purpose of this role is to build and lead the BESS C&I business with full P&L ownership, develop go-to-market strategies, close significant deals, and establish partnerships with OEM/EPC/finance entities. Key Responsibilities: - P&L leadership: Establish revenue/margin targets, build the order book, manage budgets, ensure pricing discipline, and conduct deal reviews. - Market & GTM: Segment C&I customers in various industries, define use cases, and set region-wise quotas. - Strategic partnerships: Source and negotiate with cell/battery, PCS/inverter, and EMS/BMS OEMs; Develop vendor and ancillary relationships, establish EPC and financing partners, and explore JV/assembly alliances. - Solution leadership: Provide guidance on sizing/LCOS modeling, TCO/ROI, and commercial structures. - Policy & incentives: Monitor central/state regulations and storage incentives to leverage applicable benefits in proposals. - Team building: Recruit and mentor BD managers and applications engineers, implement CRM and governance cadence, and foster a performance-driven culture. - Stakeholder management: Act as an executive sponsor for key accounts, represent the business at Board reviews, and participate in industry forums. Qualification Required: - Proven experience of 10+ years in power/renewables/large battery storage systems, including Lithium-Ion batteries. - Minimum 5 years of experience leading revenue centers with a track record of closing multi-crore infra/energy deals.
