Oversee the financial aspects of trading activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the bank's trading book.
Reconcile daily profit and loss (P&L) figures for trading desks to ensure alignment with valued positions in the trading book.
Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of trading risks, reporting on these financial risks to senior colleagues.
Maintain and analyze trading data, providing insights to traders and senior colleagues on trading performance.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports to authorities, addressing auditor queries and ensuring trading activities are appropriately reflected in financial statements.
Communicate complex financial information effectively to traders, risk professionals, senior colleagues, and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

In-depth knowledge of financial products and markets related to investment banking.
Excellent understanding of end-to-end processes of an IB and associated controls.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
Ability to work independently with a spectrum of people from junior finance staff to front office business heads.
Good influencing and negotiation skills, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
CFA/Masters in Finance/Financial Engineering is preferred.
Product control experience in Investment Bank.
Good control awareness and problem-solving ability.
Mature and able to negotiate through difficult situations.
Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the organization functions to contribute to achieving the goals of the business.
Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
Adopt and include the outcomes of extensive research in problem-solving processes.
