Job Description

Step into a role of Vice President Asset Servicing Oversight where you will drive transformative change initiatives across the Asset Servicing landscape. We are seeking a VP with deep end-to-end knowledge of corporate actions, income, proxy and other Asset Servicing processes, combined with strong experience partnering with technology to design, enhance and implement strategic platform capabilities. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert, able to translate complex operational workflows into clear, structed requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of scalable solutions that support business growth and regulatory demands

You may be assessed on key responsibilities relevant for success in role such as:

  • Lead end-to-end change initiative across Asset Servicing, from requirements definition to implementation, ensuring alignment with global operating models

  • Map and articulate detailed process flows for multiple event types (MCA, VCA , income, proxy) ensuring these are clearly understood by both business and technology stakeholders.

  • Provide strong SME guidance during architecture discussions, grooming sessions, solution walkthroughs and testing cycles.

  • Partner with global operations, product, controls and technology team to ensure change delivery meets business needs, regulatory expectations and operational risk standards.

  • Drive optimisation and automation opportunities, enhancing STP, reducing risk and strengthening control framework.

  • Ensure high quality documentation, including BRDs, functional flows, user stories, acceptance criteria and sign off packages.

  • Represent Asset Servicing change in senior stakeholder forums, communicating program updates, risks, and delivery timelines.

Desirable skill sets:

  • Strong end to end understanding of global Asset Servicing processes, market practices and lifecycle events across multiple regions.

  • Proven experience working with technology teams to define system logic, event flows, data models and exception pathways.

  • Ability to translate operational challenges into structured requirements and communicate with them effectively to developers, architects and senior stakeholders.

  • Experience with agile delivery, backlog management, user story creation and test planning.

  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail, able to identify gaps and propose effective solutions.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and navigate across global teams.

  • Ability to work independently, lead workshops, facilitate discussions and guide BAs and SME where required.

This role is based out of Chennai.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
