Job Description

As a Vehicle Personalization Engineer, your role will involve coordinating the design and development of Electrical Genuine Ford Accessories (GFA) & Ford Licensed Accessories (FLA). You will work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure the timely launch of accessories into markets while maintaining high quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Design and release accessory parts following the launch process by creating and designing new accessory parts to meet engineering requirements and timelines, including modifications to existing designs based on marketing assumptions. - Execute designs in CAD, wiring schematics, and device transmittal with suppliers or the CAD team. - Lead the integration of accessories into vehicle systems and take responsibility for part development through validation and launch, including problem-solving for engineering issues. - Proactively improve the design cost, quality, and functions of responsible accessories in production. - Develop commodity-level specific EMC requirements and conduct EMC Design Reviews of components and associated vehicle wiring/packaging. - Collaborate with suppliers to review design proposals and system tradeoffs to ensure EMC requirements are met. - Lead and participate in cross-functional decision-making teams and participate in build events in different plants for various programs. - Consult with core product development to clarify engineering constraints and requirements for vehicle personalization in new accessory design. - Work with Planning/Product Development and Program Management to ensure all deliverables meet milestones on time. Qualifications Required: - MS or Bachelor's degrees in electrical engineering, electronics, or automobile engineering. - Working experience in the auto industry is a plus. - Experience in automotive electrical system engineering with a good understanding of vehicle functions, hardware, software, and EE architecture. - Hands-on experience with Electrical diagnostics tools, CANalyzer, CANoe, network communication (CAN/LIN/Ethernet), and diagnostic (UDS). - EMC experience in E/E commodity design and validation, or MSEE with a focus on RF systems and electromagnetics. - Knowledge of automotive EMC standards and test procedures. - Proficiency in English communication skills, both speaking and writing. - Excellent teamwork, communication, and presentation skills. - Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks. - Fast learner with a positive attitude towards change and learning opportunities. - Willingness to travel frequently and for long durations. - Negotiation skills for working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers. - Computer literacy and competency with Microsoft Office applications. - Ability to work across multiple time zones for effective communication. - Personality conducive to knowledge transfer across cultural boundaries and time zones.,
