Academic Background

Experience :

1) Safety inspection of plants and construction sites to find out unsafe act and conditions.

2) Purchasing safety equipment and having hands on experience of SAP ARIBA.

3) Take a lead to Implement 5S at site.

4) Conducting safety & fire prevention/protection awareness programs during Safety Week, Fire Week and Road safety Week.

5) Conduct/Participate in mock drill activities perform periodically.

6) Ensure the execution of Work Permit System, like Hot Work (cutting, grinding, Welding and drilling etc.) Permits, Height work permit, Confined Space Permits at the site and help SMG & Contracting staff in maintaining safety of the site.

7) Ensure reporting, investigation of all accident, Incident, Fire & Near miss occurred in the work site and Maintain records.

8) Review and evaluate the safety performance data to determine the changes for reduction in accident at site and conduct safety induction training to employees.

9) Preparation of Capex & Opex budget for the department.

10) Ensure the workplace monitoring of the hazardous process area. (i.e Noise, Temperature-Humidity, Welding Fumes and VOC Monitoring.

11) Ensure Testing of lifting tools and tackles and pressure vessels as per schedule.

12) Review and check the Risk Assessment methods adopted by management. Ensure the availability of Risk Assessment record at work location.

13) Should possess knowledge of ISO 45001:2018, 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015

14)Should have knowledge of Traffic safety rule, IRC standard, Ability to lead traffic safety related activity.

Specific Functional Skills Required

1) Legal knowledge about Safety requirement. (I.e. Factory act, Petroleum act, Indian Standards, SMPV rule, Gas Cylinder rule, Motor Vehicle rule, Building and Other Construction Workers Act, Gujarat fire prevention and life safety rule, National Building Code, etc.)

2) Should have knowledge of Plant Operation process.
