US Accounting Specialist

You will be working as a US Accounting Support Specialist at Autism Center of Excellence, a Premier Autism Therapy Center located in Durham, North Carolina, USA. Your role will involve various responsibilities related to accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and other duties. **Responsibilities:** - **Daily Accounting:** - Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts. - Maintain accurate general ledger entries. - **Financial Reporting:** - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, Profit and loss, income statement, cash flow statement). - Analyze financial data and generate reports to identify trends and opportunities. - Assist in budgeting and forecasting future financial performance. - **Tax Compliance:** - Assist in preparing and filing federal and state tax returns. - Stay updated on tax regulations relevant to the travel industry. - Coordinate with external CPA as needed. - **Other Duties:** - Implement and maintain internal accounting controls. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. - Minimum 4-5 years of experience in accounting, with some experience in the travel industry a plus. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. - Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks). - Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. - Must be available to work on US timings (India night shift) and perform all work remotely from home. - Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook) is a must. - Ownership of a cell phone with a data plan, a good Internet connection, mic, and laptop. - Good work ethics and availability as needed by the company are essential. **Additional Details:** The company offers a full-time job type with benefits including paid sick time and paid time off.
