US Accounting Specialist

You will be joining the Autism Center of Excellence as a US Accounting Support Specialist. Here is a summary of your role, responsibilities, and qualifications: Role Overview: You will be responsible for daily accounting tasks such as reconciling bank statements and credit card accounts, maintaining accurate general ledger entries, and preparing financial reports. Additionally, you will assist in tax compliance and implementing internal accounting controls. Key Responsibilities: - Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts - Maintain accurate general ledger entries - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements - Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities - Assist in budgeting and forecasting financial performance - Prepare and file federal and state tax returns - Stay updated on relevant tax regulations - Coordinate with external CPA as needed - Implement and maintain internal accounting controls Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred - 4-5 years of accounting experience, with some in the travel industry a plus - Attention to detail and accuracy - Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office - Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively - Availability to work on US timings (India night shift) - Own a cell phone with a data plan, good internet connection, mic, and laptop - Good work ethics and availability as needed by the company Please note that all work will be performed remotely from your home.
