US Accounting Manager

Role & responsibilities

This critical role offers the opportunity to operationalize and execute accounting processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with global accounting policies

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid foundation in US GAAP reporting, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Demonstrate a strong foundation in US GAAP and statutory insurance accounting. Ensure compliance with relevant policies and standards

Drive effective execution and documentation of accounting controls within accounting functions.

Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, leveraging automation and technology

Collaborate with Global Finance teams as well as other partners to streamline workflows and standardize processes.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA, CA, ICWA, CFA, or CPA preferred).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in a managerial role within an accounting or finance function.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP reporting (required); experience with statutory reporting and reinsurance reporting is preferred but not required.
