Design and implement database schemas, tables, and relationships for scalable applications.
Write and optimize DDL (Data Definition Language) and DML (Data Manipulation Language) queries.
Create and manage indexes, partitions, and constraints for performance tuning.
Monitor and maintain database performance, including query optimization and execution plan analysis.
Perform database administration tasks including backup, restore, replication, and upgrades.
Implement and manage RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), user roles, and user access management.
Work with PostgreSQL for relational database management and MongoDB for NoSQL solutions.
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
Ensure database security, compliance, and best practices.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL (database design, indexing, partitioning, performance optimization).
Hands-on experience with MongoDB (document modeling, aggregation, indexing, query optimization).
Solid understanding of SQL (DDL, DML, joins, subqueries, transactions).
Experience with database administration (backup/restore, replication, monitoring).
Knowledge of query execution plans and performance tuning strategies.
Experience with RBAC, user roles, and permissions management.
Understanding of ACID properties, normalization, and data consistency concepts.
Good to Have
Experience with cloud databases (Azure Database, MongoDB Atlas).
Exposure to automation scripting (Python, Shell, or similar).
Knowledge of CI/CD integration with databases.
Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL tools and BI tools.
