Urban Planner

The company Prameya Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Urban Planner to become a part of their interdisciplinary team in Ahmedabad. They are focused on urban strategy, research, and design, and are seeking a candidate who is enthusiastic about addressing crucial urban challenges using data-driven research, participatory engagement, and innovative planning strategies. This is a full-time position located in Ahmedabad. As an Urban Planner at Prameya Consulting Pvt. Ltd., your key responsibilities will include conducting research and spatial analysis on various urban issues such as affordable housing, climate change, mobility, economics, health, heritage conservation, and inclusive cities. You will also be tasked with designing and implementing community engagement tools to gather insights from different stakeholder groups, contributing to master planning and urban development projects in Ahmedabad and other cities, and analyzing policies to develop strategic recommendations. The ideal candidate for this role should have at least 3 years of experience in urban planning, housing, transport, infrastructure, or related fields, along with a Master's degree in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or a related discipline. Proficiency in research tools like MS Office and R-Studio, mapping software such as GIS, and design tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Strong communication and writing skills are essential, as well as a keen interest in inclusive city planning, sustainability, and participatory development. The successful candidate should be self-driven, collaborative, and capable of working across teams and disciplines.
