Transport Planner

The Transport Planner - Urban Mobility + Strategic Planning position in Ahmedabad at Prameya Consulting Pvt. Ltd. is a great opportunity for a passionate and research-driven professional interested in contributing to the development of sustainable mobility solutions and strategic planning for future-ready cities. As part of an interdisciplinary team focused on solving complex urban challenges, you will have the chance to collaborate with urban researchers, GIS specialists, and designers to support mobility planning and decision-making for Indian cities. Your key responsibilities will include conducting transport audits, user behavior surveys, spatial analysis, assisting in the preparation of mobility plans and feasibility studies, supporting GIS-based mapping and analysis, as well as contributing to the visualization of multimodal transport systems and pedestrian flow. The ideal candidate for this role should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Architecture, along with 0-2 years of experience in a similar field post Masters degree. A Masters degree in Transport Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required. Proficiency in GIS, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator), R studio/Python, and similar software is essential. Additionally, the ability to represent data through maps, diagrams, and visual formats is highly valued.
