Primary Objective
Ensure safe, efficient, accurate unloading of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods while maintaining hygiene and quality standards required in confectionery production.
✅ Key Responsibilities1. Material Receipt & Verification
Coordinate unloading of trucks upon arrival at the factory/warehouse.
Verify delivery documents: invoice, packing list, gate pass, challan,.
Physically inspect materials for:
Quantity accuracy
Damage or contamination
Temperature requirements (for chocolate, dairy, flavors, etc.)
Ensure FIFO principles are followed.
2. Quality & Hygiene Compliance
Check raw materials for food safety compliance.
Sugar, cocoa, milk powder, nuts, flavors, emulsifiers, etc.
Ensure unloading area meets hygiene standards (GMP).
Report foreign bodies, pest evidence, damage, or contamination immediately.
Coordinate with QC for sampling & approval before storage.
3. Safety Management
Ensure PPE usage by workers (gloves, safety shoes, hairnets, etc.).
Monitor safe lifting & material handling practices.
Ensure equipment safety (forklifts, pallet trucks, conveyors).
Enforce traffic & dock safety rules.
4. Documentation & System Control
Maintain unloading logs and records.
Update ERP/WMS for goods receipt entries.
Ensure labeling & coding accuracy (batch no., expiry, lot no.)
Maintain traceability documentation.
5. Coordination & Communication
Liaise with procurement, warehouse, QC, and production teams.
Coordinate manpower (loaders, helpers).
Communicate delays, shortages, rejected materials immediately.
Intimate in group regarding material receipts.
6. Warehouse Support
Ensure proper palletization and segregation.
Oversee movement of materials to designated storage locations.
Monitor storage conditions:
Temperature & humidity for chocolate and ingredients.
Proper stacking to avoid breakage of confectionery items.
7. Lean & Continuous Improvement
Identify unloading bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
Minimize unloading time and labor cost.
Maintain cleanliness (5S) and reduce material wastage.
