Underwriting Analyst

As an SME Credit Underwriter in US shifts, your role will involve evaluating the financial health and creditworthiness of SMEs, identifying and mitigating risks, developing credit policies, managing stakeholder relationships, monitoring portfolio performance, conducting client interactions, analyzing data, and collaborating with sales/servicing teams. Your key responsibilities will include: - Underwriting SME transactions from pre-clearing to post-close monitoring - Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the underwriting process - Developing and reviewing credit policies in collaboration with internal teams - Managing stakeholder relationships and fostering relationships with external clients - Building and monitoring KPIs to track portfolio performance - Conducting client calls to understand business needs and clarify documentation/funding options - Analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and making sound credit decisions - Collaborating with sales/servicing teams to ensure timely approvals and optimize credit limits To qualify for this role, you should have: - Minimum 3+ years of experience in credit underwriting, preferably in the SME sector - Knowledge of US underwriting is a plus - Solid understanding of credit reports, financial statements, and risk assessment techniques - Experience in evaluating and underwriting transactions for SMEs in India or the US,
