Ultra-Sonologist

Job Summary:

The Ultrasonologist is responsible for performing and interpreting ultrasound examinations to help in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. The role includes maintaining detailed reports, ensuring patient comfort, and adhering to imaging protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialized ultrasound scans including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, musculoskeletal, small parts, and Doppler studies.
• Interpret findings and generate accurate and timely reports for referring physicians.
• Ensure proper positioning and comfort of patients during procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment and report any malfunction.
• Adhere to safety protocols and compliance regulations, including the PCPNDT Act.
• Counsel patients when necessary, especially during antenatal scans.
• Maintain records and documentation as per hospital and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with radiologists or referring physicians for critical findings.

Qualifications Required:

• MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Radiology (DNB/MD/DMRD) or

MBBS with recognized Diploma in Ultrasonography (as per PCPNDT norms).

• Valid registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Council.
• PCPNDT registration (mandatory for antenatal scans).

Skills Needed:

• Proficiency in performing and interpreting a variety of ultrasound scans.
• Strong observational and diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent communication and patient-handling skills.
• Familiarity with digital reporting systems and PACS.
• Attention to detail and adherence to legal/ethical medical practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹250,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month
