About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on UK Accountant with solid experience in year-end accounts preparation and finalisation. You will independently handle statutory accounts, reconciliations, and reporting for a portfolio of UK clients.

This role combines technical depth, accountability, and client interaction, making it ideal for someone ready to move beyond support-level work.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and finalise UK year-end accounts including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, reconciliations, and statutory reports

- Handle FRS 105 and FRS 102 (1A) accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders

- Own end-to-end accounts preparation from first draft to final submission

- Work confidently on Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and CCH

- Analyse general ledgers, post journals, and complete year-end adjustments

- Prepare UK Corporation Tax (CT600) returns

- Communicate directly with UK clients to resolve queries

- Work independently while meeting quality and deadline standards

What We’re Looking For

- 2+ years of hands-on UK practice experience in year-end accounts

- Strong working knowledge of UK GAAP and statutory reporting

- Experience preparing accounts with minimal supervision

- Familiarity with UK corporation tax returns (CT600)

- Proficiency in Excel and UK accounting software

- Clear, professional communication skills
