Job Title : UK Bookkeeping & VAT Returns

Location : Chennai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad

Shift Time: 11AM to 8PM (Full time WFO)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced UK Bookkeeper to manage and oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and VAT compliance for UK entities. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial transactions, maintain compliance with UK accounting standards, and handle VAT reporting in line with HMRC guidelines. Key Responsibilities: 1. Bookkeeping & Daily Financial Transactions Record financial transactions, including purchase and sales invoices, receipts, and payments. Maintain accurate records of bank transactions, credit card statements, and petty cash entries. Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger to ensure accuracy. Update and maintain accounts payable and receivable ledgers. Ensure accurate classification of financial transactions according to UK accounting standards. 2. VAT Compliance & Reporting Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines. Review VAT invoices and ensure correct VAT treatment. Monitor and maintain accurate VAT records and reports. 3. Management Reporting (Bookkeeping-focused) Assist in preparing periodic management accounts related to bookkeeping. Provide financial reports such as trial balance, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Highlight discrepancies or issues identified during bookkeeping and VAT preparation.

Key Skills and Qualifications: Education: ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent) preferred. Proven experience in UK bookkeeping and VAT returns. Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS, TaxCalc).

Knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC VAT guidelines. Strong attention to detail, reconciliation, and accuracy. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
