UG NX Design Engineer_Sheet metal & Plastic

• 3+ years of experience in Design and development of automotive sheet metal and plastic parts (e.g., body panels, trims, brackets, fascia, interior/exterior trims) as per OEM and industry standards.
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings using UG NX (Unigraphics).
• Release and manage design data and revisions in Teamcenter PLM environment.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and CAE to ensure feasibility and DFMEA considerations.
• Support prototype development and assist in design validation and engineering change management.
• Interpret and apply GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis for manufacturability.
• Ensure designs meet cost, weight, quality, and timing targets.
• Proficient in UG NX for 3D modeling, surfacing, and drafting.
• Hands-on experience in Teamcenter for PLM data handling and design release processes.
• Strong knowledge of automotive plastic and sheet metal part design, tooling constraints, and DFM/DFA.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, stamping, and welding.
• Good knowledge of material selection, tolerance stack-up, and GD&T.
• Ability to read and interpret OEM technical standards and guidelines.
