As a Lead Project Engineer, You'll lead the project execution of Turbomachinery products with high technical complexity and intensity within all TPS market segments (Upstream, Downstream, Industrial, Pipeline, Power Generation and New Energy Solutions) for packages driven by Electric motor (centrifugal or reciprocating compressor as driven equipment) and packages driven by Gas & Steam Turbines for mechanical drive and power generation application. The projects to be led considering the supply of new equipment for green field for all the above-mentioned technologies and upgrades for all the above said equipment’s for brown field. You'll be the coordinator across Design Engineering teams, Project management & Quality team, and the contact point for customers and all other company stakeholders supporting the project. You'll supervise quality and timeliness of projects, establishing a solid connection with Project Management, Supply Chain and Engineering execution team. As a Lead Customer Project Engineering, you will be responsible for: Manage Customer technical interfaces and related communication. Build solid relationship with customers to guarantee a reliable project execution. Partnering with Products, Systems Integration, Service, Project Management and Supply Chain to ensure flawless execution as per customer needs. Review and assess information received from ITO needed to start the job Identify customer's requirement indicated in contractual technical specifications and assure correct CTQ flow-down, integrated with product line standards throughout DR process. Ensure the proper understanding of technical Customer needs inside the GE O&G organization. Manage and schedule drawing list to be submitted to Customers (Vendor Document Register) in accordance to Contractual obligation. Manage bill of material for the assigned project to be in accordance to contractual requirement and internal procedures. Support Engineering planning and related issue’s resolution. Lead internal design activities, reviews and technical decisions. Coordinate Design Reviews and Project Review processes with the engineering team. Leading project risk mitigation process and abatement plan through design reviews, harmonizing the approach inside the team and ensure Lesson Learnt sharing. Attend customer meetings (kick-off, coordination review, close out, HAZOP's, design reviews) and action plan to resolve open points. Responsible of the drawings/document’s quality issued to customers during the job. Lead initiative to reach quality target during job execution. Attend quality meeting with customer and third parties involved, supporting Project Quality manager to review project quality control plan (QCP/ITP). Lead the engineering team to customer issue resolution during execution phase. Developing action plans to respond to issues/ problems, identifying clear owners, due dates and innovative solutions. Manage and control the engineering hours allocated to the job and its spent. Raise, manage, and approve Technical Customer Change order. Managing resources, productivity, financial targets, project KPIs. Review Test specifications and attends machinery test with suppliers and or client. Support different Company Functions involved in the assigned job. Supervising technical documentation with regards to quality and time schedule issuing as per projects’ needs (both Customer and Supply Chain peculiarities). Lead VDR completeness after material shipping, productivity and leakage review. Presenting projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leaders (SPB, EB and SEB) within technical space and occasionally to senior leaders in partner technical teams. Ensure On Time Delivery of packages with Zero Punch list mindset. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor/master’s degree in engineering discipline, Mechanical/Aeronautic or Chemical preferred; Minimum 12+ years significant experience in a multidisciplinary assignment, in Oil & Gas environment as System Engineer, Lead Design Engineer & Project Engineer. Desired characteristics: To be successful in this role you should: Be able to demonstrate relevant experience in managing multiple projects with high technical complexity or intensity with ability to plan, lead and interact with main O&G/industrial customers. Display a good knowledge of Oil & Gas products: Gas & Steam Turbines, Centrifugal Compressors, Expander, Reciprocating comrepssors and related production processes and applications. Display Knowledge of API’s, ASME, Hazop, Model reviews, Design reviews, FMEA methodology and main Technical Regulation & Standards. Demonstrate ability to manage high level stakeholder and define proper communication plan inside organization Display a basic knowledge of 3D CAD tool and good knowledge of IT utility tools (MS Office, Project, MRP, etc.). Six Sigma Green Belt certified Soft Skills: Be fluent in English on both oral and written communication (Italian knowledge is an added advantage) and hold a valid passport. Be flexible to travel to international locations to meet customers and work with them. Solid Team management, Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Performing Structural analysis of baseplates using FEA tools. Collaborate to develop static and dynamic analysis by external suppliers and support the creation of built-to-print drawings for the baseplate. Creating Piping line specifications. Designing / sizing of the lube oil tank (API 614) and selection of Lube oil system components like pumps, LV motors, filters, accumulators, rundown tanks, and pressure control valves. Support skid package design development of Compressor & Steam turbine packages, including package piping & support design, locking assembly, etc, with due consideration to ergonomics, accessibility, and maintenance. Design of various external BOP skids that include Oil mist eliminators, Rundown oil tanks, and Seal gas treatment skids in collaboration with external OEM vendors. Participate in 3D model review of the entire train, verifying interface across different products that constitute the project, supporting 3D model review meetings with the customer. Performing stress analysis of piping & supports, where required. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role, you will: Have a BE/BTech in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering Have 2+ yrs of experience in the Packaging of rotating equipment, auxiliary equipment design/ piping & support design/ analysis / structural analysis. Have knowledge of piping design for ASME B31.1 & 31.3, Lube oil System sizing to API 614 code requirement. Have experience in sizing calculations and valve selection.
