Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Commissioning: Install, test, and commission new refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Maintenance & Servicing: Perform routine scheduled maintenance, system checks, and preventative service on various units, such as walk-in coolers, cold rooms, and ice machines. Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, including replacing components like compressors, fans, and control systems. System Optimization: Monitor and adjust refrigerant levels, pressure readings, and system operations to ensure peak performance. Safety & Compliance: Adhere to industry safety protocols, particularly when handling refrigerants and electrical systems, and ensure systems comply with regulations. Record Keeping: Accurately document work performed, parts used, maintenance schedules, and refrigerant logs. Required Skills & QualificationsTechnical Skills: Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as multimeters, leak detectors, and pressure gauges, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and wiring schematics. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex system issues. Knowledge of Systems: A comprehensive understanding of different types of cooling systems and their operational intricacies. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical issues to clients or team members and to document work effectively.
