Job Title: Travel Retail Manager Duty Free

Location: Flexible / Remote with frequent international travel

Department: Sales & Business Development

Reporting to: Head of Global Sales

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and well-connected Travel Retail / Duty-Free specialist to lead distribution, listing, and revenue growth for Nicotine Pouches across global airports, border shops, inflight retail, cruise duty-free, and specialty travel retailers.

The candidate must have strong relationships with travel retail buyers, distributors, and duty-free operators.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

Identify, pitch, and secure listings with global duty-free operators, including Dufry, DFS, Lagardre, Heinemann, Flemingo, Hydes, Cruise Retailers, etc.

Expand presence across airports, border shops, cruise ships, inflight catalogues, and ferry retail.

Build annual sales budgets, volume forecasts, and pricing models.

Negotiate commercial terms, margins, trade allowances, and logistic agreements.

2. Distributor & Partner Management

Appoint and manage regional travel retail distributors.

Conduct business reviews, performance analysis, and distributor training.

Ensure strong in-store representation and brand visibility.

3. Brand Activation & Marketing

Plan and execute POS displays, sampling events, promos, and visibility campaigns inside duty-free stores.

Coordinate with brand team for compliant packaging, communication, and promotional materials.

4. Compliance & Regulatory

Ensure all product documentation aligns with travel retail rules, nicotine regulations, and customs requirements across regions.

Work with internal teams on packaging languages, legal disclaimers, and import documents.

5. Operations & Supply Chain

Coordinate with logistics team for smooth shipments to travel retail hubs and bonded warehouses.

Monitor stock levels, replenish inventory, and prevent stockouts.

6. Reporting & Analysis

Track weekly and monthly sales performance.

Present competitor insights, pricing benchmarks, and market intelligence.

Recommend expansion opportunities by geography and channel.

Qualifications & Experience

5–12 years of experience in Travel Retail, ideally in FMCG, Tobacco Alternatives, Nicotine Pouches, Beverages, or Confectionery.

Strong network with global duty-free buyers.

Proven success launching and scaling brands in travel retail.

Understanding of travel retail commercial structures, margins, and logistics.

Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Willingness to travel internationally (30–50%).
