Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) sits at the heart of HSBC s Chief Technology Office (CTO) operating, maintaining and transforming the on-premise technology infrastructure used across HSBC to host applications and services. The functions within EI manage an extensive range of global technology platforms including Mainframe, IBMi, Servers and Virtualization, Databases, Storage, Internal Cloud and Containers, and Middleware.
This role is accountable for managing the global EI change and transformation portfolio, overseeing a budget of $100m+ that covers evergreening, adherence to risk and controls, and technology optimization.
What you ll do:

Strategic Outcome Delivery:
Accountable for the successful delivery of the Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) portfolio, ensuring that all projects and programs directly support EI s overarching goals and deliver measurable value and a return on investment.

Portfolio Governance:
Establish and champion rigorous governance frameworks, including review boards and clear policies, to guide the selection, prioritization, and oversight of EI initiatives. Ensure efficient and effective execution of the portfolio with adherence to scope, budget, and timelines.

Resource & Capacity Optimization:
Strategically allocate and manage human, financial, and technical resources across the EI portfolio. Balance demand with capacity to ensure efficient execution and maximize return on investment.

Performance Excellence:
Implement and utilize advanced portfolio dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to meticulously monitor progress against strategic goals, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancement of portfolio management processes.

Portfolio Risk Mitigation:
Proactively identify, assess, and implement effective mitigation strategies for risks across the entire portfolio. Ensure transparency and establish clear escalation paths for critical issues.

Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as a central point of contact for executive sponsors and key stakeholders. Build strong relationships and facilitate timely, clear communication to align expectations and foster collaboration.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing EI portfolio team. Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous professional growth.
