Training & Placement Officer

Experience Required: 5–10 Years
Location: HKBK Group of Institutions, Bangalore
Department: Training & Placement Cell

Role Overview:

The Training & Placement Officer will be responsible for facilitating student career development by coordinating training programs, building industry partnerships, and ensuring successful placement outcomes. The role demands strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills, with the ability to work closely with students, faculty, and corporate partners.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Placement Coordination

  • Develop and maintain relationships with companies for campus recruitment.
  • Organize on-campus and off-campus placement drives.
  • Identify placement opportunities across various sectors relevant to students.
  • Coordinate pre-placement talks, interviews, and selection processes.
  • Ensure maximum student participation and placement conversion.

2. Student Training & Development

  • Plan and conduct employability training programs (Aptitude, Soft Skills, HR/Technical Rounds).
  • Identify training needs of students and collaborate with external trainers if required.
  • Prepare students for resume building, group discussions, interviews, and corporate etiquette.

3. Industry Connect & Networking

  • Build strong networks with HRs, corporate leaders, and recruitment agencies.
  • Arrange internships, industry visits, seminars, webinars, and guest lectures.
  • Participate in industry meets, job fairs, and networking sessions.

4. Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain updated records of student profiles, training programs, and placements.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management on placement statistics and training progress.
  • Manage placement portal, database, and communication with recruiters.

5. Coordination & Administration

  • Liaise with department heads, faculty coordinators, and student placement representatives.
  • Develop placement policies and ensure smooth process execution.
  • Handle placement-related documentation and student communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (MBA preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in Training & Placement, Career Services, or Corporate Relations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of current industry trends and employment opportunities.
  • Ability to multitask, coordinate events, and manage deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and placement management tools.

Additional Preferred Qualities:

  • Experience in student counselling and mentoring.
  • Ability to form partnerships with leading companies and HR professionals.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Positive attitude, proactive approach, and ability to work under pressure.
